Julie Anne Rhodes by Dean Chamberlain
Sundays are made for lounging about and perusing the blogs I love to follow. Sometimes there are finds that I just can not possibly keep to myself. It may be a photograph, a recipe, point of view, some goodie I lust after, or a brilliant story. Here are five fabulous gems that caught my fancy this weekend.

I found two “take my breath away” posts on Elizabeth Avedon’s blog alone – Lorie Lambrecht: Roy Lichtenstein (I’ve always been a huge fan of Roy Lichtenstein’s work and loved the fly on the wall photographs of his studio), and the most loveable photographs of dogs I’ve ever seen, Chip Simons: Dog Gone. Daisy would make such an amazing model for him don’t you think?

I don’t know if it’s just been a tough week, my sense of humor is warped, or this girl needs her own comedy show, but The Oddity of Being Me gets my “giggle of the week” post.
Joy the Baker, as usual, gets my “What diet?” post. I only read her blog when I feel like torturing myself, then drooling to death.
By complete fluke, when randomly clicking through to blogs through other blogger’s sites, I stumbled upon my “inspiration of the week”, Backwards in High Heels. I happen to know, personally, that the author has champion storytelling in her blood. Her brother once told me a whopper, and her uncle has been the source of many a bellyache from laughing too hard through the years. What a joy to find her fabulous blog. Whats not to love? An exquisite command of the English language, smart enough to make my brain do gymnastics, better photographs than I dare to take, and she loves dogs. What a lovely surprise to find you again Tania Kindersley!

No Carly, that is on my client menu, but I haven't posted the recipe, because it is another personal chef's recipe. I belong to a national organization of PC's, and you have to be a member to have access to their recipes. I'm sorry.

Carly – I think homemade gourmet treats are the best kind of pressie you could give (unless of course we're talking Harry Winston price range). Not only is there thought, but love and a ton of work gone into the gift! I think you might have inspired another blog post yet again.

Julie Anne – who KNEW we would end up as fellow bloggers. Thank you so much for giving me such a lovely shout out; am blushing. I suppose the whopper came from Kim Kindersley. Some things never change. So lovely to find you in the blogosphere. Tania x

They are fab Lys!Sorry to make you blush Tania – even after 15 years and a shameful addiction to Eastenders, I'm still the brash but enthusiastic American. Kimbo has long since been forgiven, and is still very much adored. Lovely to be in contact again. Look forward to my daughter bringing me your books at Christmas.
